Family Sues Mahwah Board Of Education After Student Injured In Gym Class
MAHWAH, N.J. -- A lawsuit has been filed against the Mahwah Township Public Schools' Board of Education by the family of a boy who allegedly suffered permanent injuries in a gym class at Ramapo Ridge Middle School in 2011, NorthJersey.com reports. The boy allegedly suffered multiple fractures of his ankle when he was ordered by a school employee to jump over hurdles sideways, NorthJersey.com reports. Saddle Brook Zoning Board Of Adjustment Announces 2016 Meeting Schedule
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- The Saddle Brook Zoning Board of Adjustment has announced its 2016 schedule. Meetings will be held on the following days: Feb. 1; March 7; April 4; May 2; June 6; July 11; Aug. 1; Sept. 12; Oct. 3; Nov. 7; and Dec. 5. All meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m., except for the meetings on July 11 and Sept. 12, which will be on the second Monday due to Independence Day and Labor Day.

Suspect In Custody In Yonkers Homicide
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers police have arrested a suspect in the homicide of a 50-year-old woman. Officers responded after being notified by security that a possible crime had taken place in an apartment on Schroeder Street on Saturday, Jan. 16, at approximately 12:31 p.m., officials report. A male suspect was standing by with security as responding officers arrived at the scene; he was subsequently taken into custody, according to police.
