Shelton Police Charge Man With Possession Of Sawed-Off Shotgun SHELTON, Conn. -- Shelton police have charged a Waterbury man with possession of a sawed-off shotgun. David Balek, 38, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, using fraud to obtain a controlled substance, second-degree forgery and engaging police in pursuit. Balek, who is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges, was held on a $100,000 bond.
